VARUS DOOEL from Skopje was founded in 1990 as one of the first privately owned companies for wholesale trade of drugs, consumer health care, medical devices, laboratory consumables, chemicals, reagents and instuments.

The beginning was primarily based on exclusive representing of one of the oldest chemical and pharmaceutical companies in the world, Merck KGaA from Germany,  for the territory of R. Macedonia in the area of chemistry.

Since 1995 Varus exclusively represents, promotes, conducts marketing and distribution of Merck's pharmaceuticals and Consumer Health Care.
